Aftermath

Hurricane Helene came through Asheville. I got back electricity and internet, but I still don’t have water and it looks like it’s gonna be weeks. Momentum Dance & Events has to be closed for the time being. Now I’m kinda regaining my footing as we recover our infrastructure. Normal life is largely restored, save for taking a small hike to collect water from a stream just to flush my toilet. I’ve been reading some books, playing some music and generally been trying to organize my life with the focus that you get from losing many of your modern comforts. Now with internet connection back (in it’s somewhat shaky status) I’ve finally gotten to a point with this website where it’s good enough to ship. I would’ve liked to get more done, though there is more time. After all I’ve been spending a good bit of my days lately just helping to distribute food and supplies and that definitely has value.

Moving forward

The idea is to work on and document the process of building multimedia dance experiences. Additionally, I’ll be refining my methodology on dance in general. What I find works for me and may be of value to others. I won’t claim that it will change the world, but it’s gotten me this far. I’ll elaborate on what I do to maintain technique and stay as universally conditioned as possible. Those topics I’ll save for a later date.

For now, this article is just to open this chapter of my journey. I have a tendency to enjoy solitary activities and this is an attempt to my efforts more public.
